Is AlwaysRespond HIPAA-compliant?
AlwaysRespond is not HIPAA certified, and we do not sign Business Associate Agreements (BAAs). What is true: no call audio is ever stored, and transcripts are access-controlled per account. The database is encrypted at rest by our provider; we do not encrypt transcripts field-by-field, and we would rather you hear that from us than from an auditor. If your practice handles patient information, email security@alwaysrespond.com before you sign up so we can tell you honestly whether we are a fit.
