How to forward your business number to AlwaysRespond

One quick code from your existing line and your AI receptionist is live. Works on any carrier. AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Spectrum, RingCentral.

Forwarding takes under five minutes. You're not switching carriers, porting numbers, or installing hardware. You dial a short code on your business phone and calls route to AlwaysRespond from then on.

Step 1. Get your AlwaysRespond number

After you sign up, your dashboard shows a local AI number assigned to you. Copy it.

Step 2. Dial the forwarding code

From your existing business line, dial one of these codes followed by your AlwaysRespond number.

  • Forward all calls: *72 + AR number
  • Forward when busy or unanswered: *71 + AR number
  • Stop forwarding: *73

Carrier-specific notes

  • AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile: standard codes work as-is.
  • RingCentral: use Settings → Phones & Numbers → Call Forwarding.
  • Spectrum / cable VoIP: log into the customer portal and enable forwarding.

Test it
